This morning I had Shakespeare, and I was so exhausted from going to bed so late the night before. I decided towards the end of class to go stand up (thanks, Lewis for the idea) so that I wouldn't fall asleep and that I would be a good audience member. Well she noticed after like 2 people went that I was standing up and asked me why. I told her to prevent me from falling asleep and so she goes, why don't you go next? So I did! Once again she worked with me on it for a LONG time. I'm hoping because I can get better, but not because I'm awful. I'm pretty sure she has worked with me more than like anyone else, but everyone says its just because I end up going towards the end of class, and instead of trying to fit two people in, she just works with me the whole time. I also have trouble saying "lov'st, should'st, and receiv'st" correctly...so that took some time. Anywho, I talked to Shelia after class and she is so sweet and super helpful, once she gets done being sidetracking.
Next we had movement, which was a bunch of running around again. We also did these amazing stretches with a partner-going up and down the spine, and stretching the arms to the side and getting them to loosen up. It felt wonderful.
We had a 3 hour long break today where I went with my friend Maggie to buy tennis shoes and then I ordered a pizza for lunch (and had the rest for dinner). And it was pineapple and ham...and corn? Sounds weird, but it was delicious. The rest of the break I spent reading Cherry Orchard, The Provoked Wife, and facebooking/emailing my friends back home!
Last we had stage combat where I had to do push ups because my notes were not in depth enough. Grrr, it was frustrating, but oh well. We learned more pushes and pulls and knaps. It was pretty fun. I had trouble with the "parrot punch" which is where you punch right next to someone's face because I thought I was going to hit my partner, so he worked with me for awhile which was nice. And I was used as an example in slapping cause my knap was good!
Now I am home and exhausted as usual. Homework and hanging with the roomies before an early bed time!!
