All the Worlds a Stage...and I saw Shakespeare's!

Today was very busy, but a lot of fun, and oddly relaxing.

I woke up fairly early and watched Emily's opening for our reality tv show. It's actually really good, and completely captures our flat dynamic. I can't wait till we post it. We are now working on the 1st episodes.

Then I decided to go to The Museum of London, except tons of lines were closed on the tube, so instead of trying to figure out what to do, I just decided to go to The Globe! It was pretty cool. I knew most of what they told us (Thanks Liz!), but it was still cool to see the replica. Also, the exhibition part was really informative and pretty cool. I spent a good 3 hours traipsing around there and at the gift shop, so I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I bought a black polo that says "Shakespeare's Globe" on it, 3 postcards, and a small towel that says "All the worlds a stage" and "Shakespeare's Globe Theatre" to hang in our room!

Then I decided to wander around a little bit, and I passed the oldest Gothic church in England and the remains of the Westchester Castle (I think that was the title anyway). Finally figured out how to get to the museum by tube, and spent another hour or so exploring London's history. They had a ton of artifacts and interesting tid bits which I really liked! You could also see the initial city wall built by the Romans. It was dark when I got out, but I still went to the place where the church of John Wesley was and the plaque under the bridge of where it is thought he had his huge revelation. That was amazing, to be on the spot where the methodist faith was birthed.

Now I am home and very tired, but fufilled. I think I am going to read some of the Shakespeare plays that I need to tonight and get some more sleep!

P.S I forgot to put in my last post that my Shakespeare teacher knew Harold Pinter and went to parties at his house...it just gets better and better. I'm like one degree away from TONS of famous theatre people! gahhhhhhhhhh
